Eventually when I wandered, from the Sahara to the Amazon jungle, I saw how people were born of their environment, and joined with the land in their spirituality and agency in everyday life. The significance and insignificance of individuals in a vast landscape have always drawn me, and my visual art seeks to express this integration: of human and nature, of modern and timeless, of order and paradox, of ordinary and extraordinary.
